Pay up or bear the stink: Municipal workers dump garbage at Finance Ministry in protest

Smelly pressure tactic? Finance Ministry employees had to park away from their offices and navigate their way to work on foot Sunday due to mounds of garbage dumped near the Finance Ministry by municipal workers in Jerusalem. It was another in a series of steps taken by the Jerusalem Municipality to get the ministry to pay 50 million shekels ($14.4 million) to the city that had been promised but that has not been paid because the ministry wants to limit it to be spent for urban development. Other ministries owe the city 30 million shekels.
