The Tel Aviv District Court handed on Wednesday four life sentences to the three Palestinian perpetrators behind the terror attack at Tel Aviv’s Sarona Market in July 2016.
The three, all residents of the Palestinian city of Yatta located south of Hebron, are Khalid al-Mahamra, Muhammad Mahamra (the two are cousins) and Younes Zayn.
The attackers were convicted of the murder of four Israeli civilians.
Thirty-seven people were injured in the attack that took place at a bustling, outdoor shopping center in central Israel.
Judges ruled that the three will be fined with paying 258,000 shekels ($73,600) to each of the families of those killed in the attack (it is the maximal sum according to the law), 200,000 shekels to the four people who were gravely injured and 20,000 shekels to each of the other victims.

Khalid and Muhammad Mahamra both fired repeatedly at civilians who were eating at a restaurant in the market until their weapons stopped operating, at which point the two tried to flee the scene.
Younes Zayn provided the cousins with the weapons they used to carry out the attack.
According to the verdict, the three decided to plot and carry out the attack following an arson attack in the West Bank village of Duma. A Palestinian family home was firebombed in July 2015, resulting in the deaths of three members of the Dawabsheh family.
The verdict also noted that the attackers’ original plan was to carry out an attack on a train.
The three had apparently plotted to execute a shooting attack that would have targeted passengers traveling from Tel Aviv to Hafia, but when the cousins Mahamra arrived at a Be’er Sheva train station they were alarmed by the strict security measures and decided to change the location of the attack.
The cousins Mahmra opted to carry out an attack without Zayn, because he was in financial debts at the time and could not, according to their faith, execute an attack and become a martyr.
However, Zayn was convicted alongside them as fully complicit in the attack.
The cousins Mahmra decided to take a taxi to Tel Aviv, where they scouted for a popular spot that would be filled with people. When they arrived in the city they asked passersby where they could find multiple restaurants and cafes.
Following information they received, the two then chose to carry out the attack at the Sarona Market.
On June 8, 2016 at approximately 9:30 P.M. the two terrorists entered the Max Brenner chocolate eatery at the market, where they began firing their weapons repeatedly, resulting in multiple casualties in a massive attack that has since been called the “Tel Aviv Shooting.”
