'Let us take care of them': West Bank hate crime latest in string of anti-Arab attacks

Car tires were slashed overnight Sunday in in a suspected hate crime in the West Bank town of Turmus Ayya, near Nablus. Graffitti was also sprayed in the vicinity, reading “Let us take care of them.” Israel Police launched an investigation but has yet to arrest suspects. Last week, five hate crimes were perpetrated in Israel and the West Bank.

The overnight incident is the latest in a string of similar attacks over the last two weeks. Over the weekend, some 15 olive trees were uprooted next to the Nablus-area village of Urif, and the tires of two vehicles were slashed. Slogans were spray-painted nearby, reading “Fight the enemy” and “price tag” in Hebrew.

A few days earlier tires were slashed and graffiti was sprayed in the West Bank villages of Dir Amar and Jalud and in the Galilee village of Iksal.
