US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo departs from Israel after first visit

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo departed from Israel Sunday evening after meeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Pompeo came to Israel after visiting Saudi Arabia and will now fly to Jordan for the third leg of his Middle East visit.

The 70’th US Secretary of State was sworn in on April 26, leading him to jokingly tell Netanyahu he visited Israel before setting foot in his own office.
