The Ma’an News Agency reported that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar claimed that Hamas accepted the Egyptian offer of an Israeli-Hamas prison swap and that now “the ball is in Israel’s court”.
Ma’an further claimed that the Hamas leader hinted that the questions surrounding the offer were partly why Col. (res.) Lior Lotan resigned the his position of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s envoy for captives and missing persons in August.
