The Knesset’s most outrageous lawmaker, Oren Hazan of the Likud, took to Twitter Thursday to pay tribute to none other than Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, who died the night before at age 91.
“Hugh Hefner – an American icon, marketing genius, ground-breaker,” Hazan tweeted.

Despite his high opinion of Hefner, Hazan continues to only follow one person on Twitter, US President Donald Trump, with whom Hazan famously took an illicit selfie during his visit to Israel, much to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s dismay.
Thank you, Mr. President

Hazan has come under fire for his actions in relation to women. He is perhaps best-known for being the subject of a Channel 2 report that found that he managed a casino in Burgas, Bulgaria, at which he pimped prostitutes and provided crystal meth to Israeli tourists. Memorably, a stripper from a club across the street from the casino called him “Big Boss Oren” in the report. When Hazan sued Channel 2 for libel, a court found that claims related to prostitutes and drug use were defensible, but not that of dealing drugs.
Channel 10 reported that women who worked at a bar Hazan used to manage in Tel Aviv complained that he sexually harassed them, though none pressed charges.
Still, his playboy ways may be in the past, since Hazan married in February, after a one-month engagement, and had a daughter in August.
