Hard Rock Hotel sued by David Bowie's photographer over iconic photo


The iconic cover print of David Bowie’s “Aladdin Sane” manuscript has allegedly been used but accede by a Hard Rock Hotel, so a estate of a late photographer is suing, TMZ reports.


Brian Duffy’s estate, that claims to possess a famous image, says that a Hard Rock in Palm Springs, California never protected a print from them or asked accede to use it, according to TMZ.

The hotel has not nonetheless responded to TMZ’s ask for comment.


In a 2015 talk with AnOther Magazine, Duffy’s son Chris removed what it was like for his father to work with a widely successful stone star.


“One Sunday morning [he] had this record blustering out in a vital room, and we came down a stairs and said, ‘Wow, that’s flattering cool, who is that?’ and he said, ‘It’s this man called David Bowie, who’s personification as Ziggy Stardust. I’m doing his manuscript cover, do we wish to accommodate him?’”

Cris pronounced Bowie and his father collaborated together on 5 shoots over a years, building a “very friendly” rapport. “He was kind of a unchanging punter during my mum’s cooking table,” he said.
