Jailed Haryana Police commandos had allegedly intercepted wireless messages pertaining to security deployment and other arrangements on August 25 when the final judgment was delivered in the 15-year-old rape case, sources told India Today.
The shocking revelations were made by five arrested Haryana Police commandos including Sub Inspector Krishan Das, Head Constable Ajay, Ram Singh,Vijay Singh and Constable Balwan during their interrogation. They were arrested on August 25 when they allegedly tried to whisk away Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
The interrogation of five dismissed police employees has shocked the police officials when they recreated the crime scene and seized Haryana Police wireless sets from the possession of former Dera commandos which they used when they were in jammer vehicle on August 25.
“We have registered a case under IT act and have seized police wireless sets which were being used to intercept the wireless messages,” a senior Police officer, not wanting to be named, said.
Sources said Dera chief’s commandos by using the wireless handsets, which were only meant for official use, had access to the secret messages pertaining to the force deployment and directions. They had intercepted messages using three channels.
The police is also trying to find out about a possible insider who may have also leaked sensitive information about the police movement.Sources say Dera spokesperson Dr Aditya Insan and Honeypreet Insan were working in close co-ordination and were supervising the escape and reaction plan. Aditya Insan, Surinder Dhiman and three others were also present in Panchkula and had allegedly instigated the followers.
Honeypreet held a second position in Dera Sacha Sauda. A Dera spokesperson Surender Dhiman Insan, who is facing sedition case and had surrendered on Friday before Panchkula police, has told police that Honeypreet’s orders were final and nobody can challenge her. Nobody was allowed to verify her orders. There were no restrictions on Honey as compared to other female followers and was free to go anywhere.
Dhiman has told the police that Honeypreet had asked him to do a recce of people and was asked to station himself near the court after the court put the rape case hearing on a fast track. Dera chief was worried after the CBI Special Court started hearing the case regularly. The strategy of Dera chief was to delay the proceedings. He had also asked his followers in entire Malwa belt including Bathinda to start protests .The fanatic followers even blocked the roads and had said that their ‘Pitaji’ was being harassed by the court.
Honeypreet had also asked his media team, including Surender Insan, to create a Whatsapp group to share information related to the court proceedings and the preparations made by the Haryana government to deal with the situation.
Haryana police on the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court have formed a SIT to probe the allegations. As the interrogation of arrested Dera men and sacked commandos is in progress, more Dera men are likely to fall in police net soon.
