Ni no Kuni II gets a stunning new trailer, screenshots


I don’t know about you, but I’m really excited to dive back into the gorgeous world of Ni no Kuni. The sequel is due next year, after a delay, and Bandai Namco has released a new trailer and batch of screenshots from the Level-5 title in time for Gamescom in Europe.


We’ll start with the trailer, packed with rhetorical questions, gameplay, combat, cut scenes and a sniff at the new characters we’ll enjoy this time around.



For the first Ni no Kuni, Level-5 worked with Studio Ghibli (the makers of movies like My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke) to develop the game’s unique art style. For Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, Level-5 isn’t working with Ghibli. They did bring along Character Designer Yoshiyuki Momose, though. Momose worked for Ghibli on the original game.
