OWNING UP TO 'MISTAKE' Dem apologizes for hoping Trump is assassinated


Amid calls for her resignation, a Democratic state senator in Missouri on Sunday said she done a mistake for posting on Facebook Thursday that she hopes President Donald Trump is assassinated.


State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal —  who has said she isn’t resigning over a post —  apologized during a press discussion streamed live on a Facebook page of a Clayton Times, a St. Louis County newspaper.


“President Trump, we apologize to we and your family,” Chappelle-Nadal pronounced during a Wellspring Church in Ferguson, Missouri. “I also apologize to all a people in Missouri. And we also apologize to my colleagues in a Missouri legislature for a mistake that we made.”


Chappelle-Nadal eventually deleted a post about Trump, though a screenshot was saved and common on Twitter.


The U.S. Secret Service’s St. Louis margin bureau is questioning a strange post.


“The summary that that has been sent to me by a God is that I’m here to offer as a teacher, as a translator though many of all as a servant,” she said. “I am a menial of God and we am a menial of a people that we represent. And we unsuccessful them both recently.”


“I done a mistake. And I’m owning adult to it,” she added. “And I’m not ever going to make a mistake like again. we have schooled my lesson. My decider and my jury is my Lord Jesus Christ.”


Top Missouri Democrats had called for her resignation, including Missouri Party Chair Stephen Webber, Sen. Claire McCaskill, and Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens.


Greitens said on Friday: “If she will not resign, a Senate can opinion to mislay her. we trust they should.”
