NYPD cops overcome by fumes in possible drug lab


Eight cops were rushed to a sanatorium in Queens early Friday morning after inhaling smoke while responding to a 911 call about an emotionally uneasy man, sources told The Post.


The officers suffered light-headedness and revulsion and are in fast condition during North Shore University Hospital during Forest Hills.

They fell ill during 5:30 a.m. after entering an unit during 6384 Saunders Street during 63rd Drive in Rego Park.


Sources pronounced a smoke might be associated to a probable drug lab.


The harmed cops embody 7 group and one woman. One was a sergeant.


A 39-year-old emotionally uneasy male was arrested during a scene; charges were pending, sources said.
