Andy Carroll was pushing home from West Ham’s training belligerent when he was targeted by a male attempting to take a England striker’s £22,000 wristwatch.
Jack O’Brien, 22, was jailed, after attempting to sack Carroll as he was stopped during trade lights in north-east London, on Nov 2.
The striker told Basildon Crown Court he feared for his life after he believed a 22-year-old was armed with a gun.
Dramatic CCTV footage of a occurrence shows Mr Carroll being followed in his immature Jeep by dual group on motorbikes as he tries to escape.
The footballer, earlier, told jurors he was shocked when a motorcycle supplement pulled adult beside him and said, “Nice watch”, while perfectionist he gave it to him.
